Dining at The Pepper Pot Restaurant
Much of our meat arrives from Tortworth Farm Shop, and other local butchers. Our Charolais/ Hereford beef is matured for four weeks, giving maximum flavour. The pork (Tamworth/ Old Spot) and lamb (Suffolk/Jacob) is, as far as possible, from our own stock at Green Farm, Fretherne, or its adjoining farms. Game is purchased from local shoots as available. British meat is always used by preference.
The fish is delivered daily, and line caught where possible, or boat caught if not, Scallops we insist are diver caught. We ensure that methods least likely to cause stress to animals and creatures are used and those that have the least effect on the environment.
