Kitchen Assistant / Trainee Chef | The Hobnail

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join the team at The Hobnails.

The minimum requirement for the role is working on Sundays, helping our kitchen team with our busy Sunday carvery service. However, additional hours are available throughout the week for anyone looking for more regular work.

The role will include:

• Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation
• Helping prepare and set up for Sunday carvery service
• Replenishing and maintaining the carvery during service
• Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
• Assisting with deliveries, stock and general kitchen duties
• Following food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures
• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy services

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is reliable and able to work Sundays consistently
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
• Is comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
• Works well as part of a team
• Takes pride in cleanliness and organisation

Previous kitchen experience isn’t essential – we’re more interested in finding someone dependable, hardworking and keen to learn.
