We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join us at The Charleton in Kingsbridge, Devon. We have an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to help shape our food offering, bring fresh ideas to the table and be part of something with plenty of potential.

We have some flexibility for the right person, so whether you enjoy creating great daytime food, have a passion for breakfast and lunch service, or have ideas for something a little different, we’d love to hear from you.

A bit about the opportunity…

Our initial focus is on developing a daytime food offering, including breakfast and lunch, serving good-quality, well-prepared food that gives our customers another reason to visit.

Looking ahead, we’re also exploring the possibility of pop-up evening food events, with guest chefs or offering kitchen space to independent food operators. There’s real scope for the right person to get involved, share ideas and help us develop something exciting, but there’s also an opportunity for a Chef looking for a great work/life balance and no late nights!

We’re open-minded about how the role could work and want to find someone whose skills, experience and ideas fit the pub.

• Experience working in a professional kitchen.
• A genuine passion for good food and delivering quality.
• Someone confident with daytime service, particularly breakfast and lunch.
• A reliable, organised approach to kitchen management, food preparation and hygiene.
• Someone who enjoys taking initiative and contributing ideas.
• A flexible, positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
